In this module, students will explore the essential aspects of engaging an audience (clients/customers/followers) through various techniques, technical elements, and creative choices. They will learn the importance of testing, understanding demographic preferences, and the role of visual and auditory and other creative elements in maintaining audience engagement. Students will develop:

  • Understanding of brand, messaging and story elements that resonate with audiences

  • Appreciation of the technical aspects that contribute to clarity and engagement

  • Skills in audience testing and incorporating feedback

  • Insights into creative choices that maintain engagement

On successful completion of this module students will be able to:

  1. Confidently articulate a sophisticated understanding of the key elements which engage audiences across various formats.

  2. Critically analyse a variety of audience testing techniques which enable the refinement and development of creative projects, incorporating feedback effectively

  3. Critically analyse and select appropriate principles such as pacing, rhythm, finish quality, layout and/structure in crafting an immersive and engaging audience experience 

  4. Demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of a range of methods to evaluate how creative choices impact and maintain audience interest and engagement
